Should I take ISO 17025 online training at home or at work?
Up to you! Some learners prefer to take online courses at home, others do them in the office or laboratory, and share their insights with co-workers. The key takeaway is that each of our ISO 17025 training courses gives you the freedom to decide what's best suited to your needs.
How popular is ISO 17025 training?
The ISO 17025 standard is very sector specific and courses targeting it will never attract as many learners as training options for standards such as ISO 9001. But within their sector, our ISO 17025 online courses are popular training tools and consistently well received by those who take them.
How does ISO 17025 differ from ISO 17025:2017?
It doesn't. They're the same. The date appended to the standard, 2017, represents the year the standard was most recently updated.
As a general rule, ISO standards were updated every 5 years or so, but this seems to have changed. ISO 9001, for example, hasn't been updated since its 2015 revision; ISO 14001 is also still on its 2015 revision. Revisions have slowed down in frequency, we believe, since the standards have matured, achieved global recognition, and become more stable and relevant.
Costs may also be an issue that prolong the life of a standard. In some cases the costs for a large organization to upgrade to a new version of a particular ISO standard may outweigh any benefits the new version brings.
Why is ISO 17025 important
ISO 17025 is important because it demonstrates a laboratory's compliance with best practices and a commitment to accuracy, proficiency, and thoroughness. Any organization adhering to the standard's requirements will benefit in terms of both enhanced credibility and cachet as a reputable, forward-thinking employer.
In 2015, the United Nations introduced 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Becoming an expert in ISO 17025 empowers you to contribute directly to this global mission.
The skills you gain from our ISO 17025 training will allow you to help organizations make a tangible impact:
Goal 3: Good Health & Well-Being – Accurate testing is crucial for diagnosing disease, ensuring food and water safety, and validating the quality of medicines.
Goal 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure – Reliable calibration and testing data are the foundation of R&D, innovation, and building safe, resilient infrastructure.
Goals 12, 13, 14, 15 – Laboratories provide the critical data needed to monitor environmental health, validate sustainable practices, track climate change, and ensure responsible resource management.
