What is an Integrated Management System?
An Integrated Management System (IMS) combines the processes and requirements of two or more management system standards into one coordinated system. This can reduce duplication, simplify documentation, and improve efficiency.
Standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 are frequently integrated because they share the harmonized structure described in Annex SL.
What's Annex SL?
Annex SL provides the harmonized structure used by many ISO management system standards. Standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001 therefore follow a similar 10-clause framework.
The common structure, terms, and core concepts make the standards easier to understand and combine in an Integrated Management System.
Why does the International Organization for Standardization use the acronym ISO instead of IOS?
ISO is not an acronym. The short name comes from the Greek word isos, meaning equal, so the organization uses ISO in every language.
Which ISO 9001 course should I choose?
Choose the course that matches what you need to do. Employee and Foundation Training provide awareness or a general introduction; Executive and Manager Training focus on leadership responsibilities; Implementer Training covers building the QMS; Auditor Training prepares audit-team members; and Lead Auditor Training adds independent audits, audit-team leadership, and audit-program management.
See our complete ISO 9001 course comparison for role, duration, and certificate details.
What certificate will I receive?
Every course includes a digital certificate that you can download, print, and share.
ISO 9001 Implementer, Auditor, and Lead Auditor: These TPECS-certified programs award a Certificate of Attainment recording the applicable Exemplar Global Competency Units.
Lead Auditor, Auditor, and Implementer courses for other standards: These award a Certificate of Completion displaying the Exemplar Global logo.
Employee, Foundation, Executive, and Manager courses: These award a Certificate of Completion.
What are the differences between Auditor courses and Lead Auditor courses?
Auditor Training prepares you to participate in management-system audits as an audit-team member. It covers audit principles, preparation, evidence gathering, reporting, and follow-up.
Lead Auditor Training includes that foundation and goes further. It prepares you to conduct audits independently, lead audit teams, manage an audit program, and perform second- and third-party audits. Course durations vary by standard and are shown on each course page.
What are the most popular ISO courses?
ISO 9001 is our most popular standard and our original specialty. We developed its complete seven-course curriculum in-house for employees, foundation-level learners, executives, managers, implementers, auditors, and lead auditors.
ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, and ISO 27001 training is also widely selected. ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 50001 serve more specialized professional and industry needs.
How difficult are the course exams?
Examinations are designed to confirm that you understand the course, not merely that you completed it. The format, number of questions, and passing score are stated on each course page.
Our ISO 9001 TPECS examinations are open book, have no time limit, require 70% to pass, and include unlimited retakes at no additional charge.
How long do I have access to my online course?
After enrollment: The learner receives up to three months of access and can pause and resume during that period. Access ends when the final examination is successfully completed. Extensions are available upon request for an additional fee.
Before enrollment: If the buyer does not enroll the learner during purchase, the Course Manager has up to 12 months to do so.

If you purchased several courses, first select the course you want to assign. You can repeat the process for each learner and enrollment.
